I was most disappointed by the outcome of the first Tiger Scout outing. I heard it was unorganized. Now, I am not the master of organization by any means, but come on now, there is no reason why I should hear about mayhem in a scout meeting that is suppose to encourage community. I was quite disheartened by the fact that the boys were allowed to continue their disorganized hunt for leaves or just running amuck. My boy however, remained strong and at least picked up leaves while other children did their own thing. It sounded very unorganized, and I was surprised to hear that nothing was mentioned to the effect of the reason why the boys were to pick up leaves. Under a utopian life, I would gladly offer my services to be a den leader. Although, I feel that it should be boy dominated and I should remain in the back seat and observe. I am all for encouragement and equal rights, don’t get me wrong, but a boy does need to be around other boys and appropriate adult male role models.

As if it was not busy enough this time of year, one has to deal with the scheduling of colds, flu, earaches and other miscellaneous events that come around this time. How do single parents deal with 3 children being sick at same time? Luckily I only had one out today and we hung out for the better part of the afternoon and i listened to her snore extremely loud. WOW! hard to believe a noise like that can come out of such a small person.
I can’t wait to see what happens next for all the sick people in this house. Who will be the next victim….. da da dum!!!

I am very excited to find out when the normal pack meetings will be. I am really hoping that my son enjoys this experience. Especially when it comes time for the boxcar races.
Ok, so the meeting ended up being pointless. Our new pack leader never showed so we are still sitting waiting to find out when individual pack meetings are. So disappointing for the kids, good thing they are clueless about that aspect of it.

Beauty in its frail form
Until the harshness of the temperatures reign
Send forth the fury
