Tiger scouts

I am very excited to find out when the normal pack meetings will be. I am really hoping that my son enjoys this experience. Especially when it comes time for the boxcar races.

Ok, so the meeting ended up being pointless. Our new pack leader never showed so we are still sitting waiting to find out when individual pack meetings are. So disappointing for the kids, good thing they are clueless about that aspect of it.

Winter time…. Almost

You can always tell when the cold and flu season is upon us. Everyone in the house becomes ill.
Not much one can do, other than give soft words of, “It will be ok.” and “You will be fine after you get some rest.”
We hold them, we rock them, we sing them songs to comfort them.
We also cherish those moments because as they get older, they grow few and far between.
When all is said and done, when they are feeling better, they are right back into their same old routine what ever that may be.
Oh well, just roll with the punches i guess.

The Things Kids Do

October 13th, 2007

There is nothing better than waking in the morning to find your family working together in a cohesive manner. If this is something that you have always been used too, then you are a blessed soul. For those of you who have woken on a weekend to the sounds of screaming children because one or more are being mean or annoying to their siblings, you know where I am coming from. I felt like I was in the wrong house upon waking this particular morning. I was laying in bed listening to the conversation of my husband and my three children talking politely and offering to set the table.(This is a first) I tiptoed to the kitchen to see my almost 7 year old pouring juice for his sisters. This seemed odd to me coming from a boy who wanted to install a laser alarm on his bedroom door to keep his sisters out. All in all It was a pleasant morning, as I was able to write this entry without any disturbances. Children are so unique in what they do from day to day, one is hardly ever bored.

Who Has Seen the Wind?

September 22nd, 2007

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.

Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I.
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

Leaves Fall

The Ground Falls Silent

Water Transforms To New Substance

Land Softens And Crystallizes

Wrapped In A Cocoon To Undergo Renewal

New Life Springs Forth In Fragrance

Temperatures Soar To Bring About Age

Lands Thirst And Craves Renewal
